Some Pre-show Pics!

Wow—what a fabulous Christmas it was! I’m so glad to have celebrated the final Christmas of the decade in good health with the brightest family in the world. Truly a blessed day.

Got PLENTY of footage, over 67 minutes of it. So, sad to say, it will be some time before I get a video up. Got a couple other projects I gotta work on before I head back to school. Good thing is I got lots of time. Until then, here are some photos the camera thought were worth snapping while I was filming. Enjoy!

Home for the Holidays

*Sigh
It's so pleasant to finally be home for the Holidays. The weather is warm(er), the bed is soft, the night is quiet, all is well this time in Houston. I could not wish for anything more than what I have been blessed with.
As we come to a new year (and a new decade) I am working on making promises to myself and keeping those promises. This past semester in NY was exciting, adventurous and rewarding, although stressful and tough nonetheless. Looking back, I know there are things I can do personally to better my living conditions and daily habits. I pray that 2011 will bring a new change in my life and the lives of those I am on this adventure with.

"After all, there's only one more sleep 'till Christmas..."

Old Sites

Last night I had the pleasure of joining Janey, her sister and her sister’s boyfriend in walking the Brooklyn Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge. It was super chilly and dark (…obviously…) so I wasn’t able to get TOO many good pics, but here’s a couple. Hopefully more to come tonight!

The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford

Yesterday, I received “The Assassination of Jesse James” from Netflix. I finished it about fifteen minutes ago. One of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Heavily impacted me. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a movie with superb acting, tremendous cinematography, and brilliant writing.

Finally Pictures

Hey all! Sorry it’s taken me so long to get the Thanksgiving pictures up… Past couple of times I tried the pictures wouldn’t fully upload. This year, I gave a special amount of thanks for simply being home. Lord knows it’s been a challenging year for me up here in NY, balancing school with health and health with socializing and socializing with money and on and on and on… Being home, even for those few days, was a gift in and of itself.

Look at our beautiful family!

The Advances of ZBrush 4

Over the past few days, I’ve been experimenting with one of ZBrush 4’s new key features - Shadow Box. With only a few clicks, the artist can block out complex, geometric objects that previous versions of ZBrush could only manage with the most skilled of sculptors. ZBrush recognizes the masked out areas of Shadow Box and converts the mask into a 3D object, allowing the artist to create highly complicated pieces of machinery and much, much more.

And now with ZBrush 4’s updated recording features, I can share with you some videos of my personal sculpting processes!

The Importance of Being Earnest

Tonight was our opening performance of “The Importance of Being Earnest” at the Hudson Guild Theatre! It was a tremendous success with a great deal of feedback from the audience throughout the show. Plenty of laughs, applause, and cheers! I operated the sound board from my laptop. I was genius. Muahaha!!

But really, the show was great. I’m so proud of all the cast and crew and it was a great joy to watch them go to work tonight. One show down. Five more to go!

Happy Halloween!

Well! It’s that time of year again, when the gools, goblins and ghosts come out to play. Tonight, Lauren, Garret, Alexis, Courtney and I will be going to a goth club for some good ol’ Halloween dancin’! Costumes to go around, pictures to be taken, fun to be had! It’s time to let loose for a little bit. Stay tuned for pics! Meanwhile, here’s a shot of A.J.’s Harvey Dent/Two-Face costume he wore last night to a party. I must say I was rather surprised! The guy did all of his own makeup!

Paranormal Activity 2

Just got back in at 3:00 am from seeing Paranormal Activity 2 with Lauren, A.J., Garret and Kristen. Don't worry, I'm not going to have any panic attacks, but the movie was still just as terrifying as the first one. Had some excellent moments paying homage to the first one's originality while adding on plenty of fresh surprises for the audience to jump quite literally out of their seats... while screaming...

Work Work Work, Work Work Work

Hey, all! Me again. Been a while, I know. School's been keeping me SUPER busy; most nights I come home wanting to do nothing more than rest on a nice, comfortable bed. Seeing now that the radiators are kicking on, it's quite hard not to.

Unfortunately my need for relaxation (call it procrastination) has gotten me into a pickle or two as far as homework goes. Been falling behind a tad bit on script-reading. This past couple of weeks were especially difficult. Hopefully, though, things will start perking up again soon enough.

Meanwhile, I've got some more pictures of Riverside! This time, the Crazy Hawaiian joined us while he was here. We all had a blast, and his time was well spent here.
