Pray For This Apartment!
So Lauren and I were taken on a tour through Washington Heights by a guy named Andrew. He showed us this apartment, and we fell in love with it instantly. It's a three bedroom with a kitchen and a living room. Fifth floor. Walk up. View of the Hudson into Jersey, with the Washington Bridge right next to us and a bit of the Manhattan Skyline. We're doing everything in our power to get it...

ZBrush Career Taking Shape?
A few days ago, I was contacted by a student from the New York Film Academy on the Pixologic website (ZBrush...). He politely asked me if he may use my Cloverfield monster sculpt for an animation project he was working on for school. He assured me that all of the credit would go to me for the model - he just needed something to animate. I was so thrilled he recognized my work and was glad to send the file on over to him. Hopefully everything will work out well for him. He's even going to send me a copy of his final product! Perhaps this is the start of my ZBrushing "side-career"? Who knows!

Auditions
Whew! Just got back from auditioning for SFT's Theatre year. What a nerve-racking experience! I feel like I did an okay job for the most part, only I also felt like I hadn't auditioned in ages. Letting go of all unnecessary tension, I went in with a monologue from Moliere's "Tartuffe" and a monologue from Michael Cristofer's "Shadow Box." Used my breath, used my gestures, used my voice resonances... Now all there is to do is wait.

Possible Apartment?...
Looks like Lauren, AJ and I might have found an apartment through two other girls at the school. They were looking for roommates so we gave a shout out to 'em. They've got an apartment in Williamsburg that is, apparently, very spacious and may even be a two-story. Let us pray!!!

Delayed Updates
Haven't updated the blog in quite some time - what feels like forever - but it doesn't mean nothing is happening up here. Oh no. Ever since I got back from Spring break, we've all been getting down and dirty with our final scenes.
Actor's Lab... Approximately three or four pages worth of text, coming out to about three and a half minutes.
Meisner - Four pages of text. The play my partner and I are doing is called The Sea Gull, by Anton Chekhov. The scene is VERY difficult and will probably come out to about four or five minutes.
Voice/Speech - Shakespeare, Shakespeare, Shakespeare... Macbeth, to be exact.
And we're just now getting our final assignments for Movement. We are currently learning the waltz and will be incorporating it into our finals. Dancing with the stars, anyone?
Don't worry, some very interesting changes have come out of all of this. I've taken a liking to my costume for Actor's Lab and will probably be meshing it with my every-day wardrobe. I'm bringing the 80's back.

Ink
I watched a movie called Ink this weekend. It's an independent film that came out last year. Words cannot describe the unbelievably imaginative nature of this dark fable. The execution of the story was so compelling and nearly had me in tears at the end. I highly recommend it to... well just about anyone who wants to watch a great film.
